Cold Process Soap Making

Learn to make 100% natural skin loving soap with Andrea. Now based in Marlborough creating art with her new business Big Barn Pottery, she still makes soap after years of being a professional soap maker in NYC.
In this class you will learn the basics of cold process soap making. As an introductory class we will cover safety procedures, ingredients & adding natural colorants and scent.
During this three hour class as a group we will first discuss what makes a good bar of soap, then measure out ingredients, blend and pour our soap, getting an understanding of saponification.

After 48 hours everyone in the class will be able to pick up and take home several bars of soap.

*** This is an 18+ Class. Soap making requires caustic lye. For Safety students must wear long pants, long sleeve shirts and footwear that completely covers their feet. ****
