Drypoint Printmaking Basics

Drypoint is a very atmospheric form of printmaking which allows you to make multiples that have rich, dense blacks as well as fine lines and subtle details. You will learn the basics of drypoint using a plexiglass plate, a sharp needle tool to scratch into the plate, oil based etching inks, and MAXT’s etching press. You’ll walk away with a small edition of black and white prints you can keep or give as gifts.
No experience necessary. Ages 12 and up. We have some aprons, but it never hurts to bring your own and/or wear clothes you don't mind getting ink on.
